Game Changer Movie, a forthcoming Telugu-language political action thriller, is the directorial debut of S. Shankar in Telugu cinema. Vivek Velmurugan wrote the screenplay, which was based on a story by Karthik Subbaraj. Sri Venkateswara Creations is the producer.

Clash with other Sankranthi releases

Game Changer’s original release date was set for Christmas 2024, but Dil Raju postponed it because of incomplete post-production. Later, it was revealed that the movie will be released on January 10, which was originally set aside for the release of Vishwambhara, the film starring Ram’s father, directed by Chiranjeevi. Game Changer movie will still compete with other Sankranthi movies, such as Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam and Balakrishna and Bobby Deol’s Daaku Maharaaj, which are scheduled for release on January 12, even if Vishwambhara has been postponed.

While Shankar’s Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, and Rakul Preet Singh, was one of the biggest box office failures, Ram’s last movie, RRR, which was directed by SS Rajamouli, was a huge hit. It remains to be seen, therefore, if Game Changer will redeem the director.
