The RajaSaab (also written as The Raja Saab) is an upcoming Telugu-language romantic horror comedy film directed by Maruthi Dasari. This movie is Maruthi’s first large-scale pan-India project.
Prabhas plays the main role and is reported to appear in two characters. The movie also features Sanjay Dutt in the role of the primary antagonist, and Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar are casted as others. The film is bankrolled by TG Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner.
It is being made on a very high budget of more than ₹400 crore, as most of the budget is allocated for large sets, computer graphics (VFX) and action. The RajaSaab Plot: A Haunted Mansion, Dual Roles, and Supernatural Romance
The story of The RajaSaab is set around a young man who inherits an old ancestral mansion. After moving into the house, he starts facing strange and supernatural events. Prabhas’ character will reportedly have two roles – one of the grandson in today’s world, and another playing his ghostly grandfather who is linked to the history of the mansion.
The villain (Sanjay Dutt) is connected to the dark secrets of the house and the supernatural issues that haunt it’s occupants. The movie combines horror elements like haunted places and jump scares with comedy and romance scenes between the female leads.
This is Prabhas’ maiden full horror-comedy movie. The film incorporates themes of family heritage, revenge, possession with a humorous and emotional touch. The runtime is approximately 183 minutes (3 hours and 3 minutes) and the film has been given a U/A certificate for moderate violence and supernatural references.
