The trailer is chock-full of what we loved about the original Spider Verse film: bold comic book-style animation, characters like Miles and Spider-Gwen (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld), and dialogue that will pull on your heartstrings. That dialogue comes courtesy of Miles’s mother, Rio (Luna Lauren Vélez), who reminisces on Miles growing up from a little boy into a hero. he’ll protect himself and always remember where he came from.

Are you tearing up yet?

While quite a bit of the trailer features clips from the first movie, we do get a glimpse at the Multiverse and the plethora of other Spider-People within it. problem? The views of Miguel O’Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099 (voiced by Oscar Isaac), on what it means to be a “good guy” seem to clash with the other Spider-People. a showdown between him and Miles, but from that alone, it’s settled: We can’t wait.
